U.S. Visa Delays Worldwide

The Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs is experiencing technical problems with its visa systems worldwide.  Please note that this is not specific to any one country or visa category.  The problems arise from a hardware failure within the Department’s facility, and computer experts across the U.S. are working to restore the system functions.  Do not expect the system to be online before next week.  Please be advised to expect delays and obstacles with U.S. Consulates/Embassies in obtaining U.S. visas.  The Department is prioritizing urgent medical and humanitarian cases as well as H2A agricultural workers.

For more information, see the Department’s press release:

Updates about this issue will be posted to www.Travel.State.Gov.
